Future Releases: Ranoyoroshi - Toradora / Wolf and Spice

Figured I'd give you guys a look at what we got in the works. Charioteer is working on translating a short hentai manga chapter about a brother who's sister forces him to cross dress in class. Myself, I just finished debinding a doujin by the same author as Spice Girl, Nyankotei. Check it out here. It's mainly a Toradora gag comic followed by some one panels of Wolf and Spice jokes. To wrap it up there's even a short bit with Kyōran Kazoku Nikki, a pretty fun comedy series about....practically anything really haha. Till next time guys!

Poyopacho AM (English) - Evangelion

Whoa nelly! This one is hot off the presses! A few days ago this particular doujin got scanned and I happened to find it that same day.  Got Charioteer on board and then we kicked this out in just under 4 days, probably the fastest we've ever done a doujin.  We don't normally work this fast, but the book was straightforward and we wanted to be sure to be the first to translate it, as the author is pretty popular (take a look at their other eva stuff, choice work).

MAN has it been a while! In all honesty I blame tumblr, that shit's addicting...but in any case we got another release for you!  Another one from Hinaprin, this time around Horo and Lawrence have swapped bodies and experience how the other half lives...well ok, how the other half has sex.

Ookami ga Koushinryou - Future Release

Welp, I know we've been kinda sparce on the updates, so I figured I'd drop a note here.  We've started work on yet another Wolf and Spice doujin (Kind of a mutal favorite series), one more from Hina purin.  Here's a little taste:

Eva R: Episode 1 (English) - Evangelion

Get a closer look into Kaworu's mind as he struggles with his Angelic instincts (Warning, contains forced rape and gory violence).  Charioteer found this one on the Rei-Ayanami.com boards and figured we'd give it a go.  Short but interesting, the context makes a little more sense if you've seen Q, but there's no real spoilers (though if you're going for absolute nothing spoiled, just don't read the author's note at the end.  Just mentions a line that Kaworu makes).  Heck, you could just place this in the regular universe if you wanted to.  In any case, enjoy!

How you can tell I'm getting back into the swing of things

Why does 共 have an on-reading of 'kyou'? Its Chinese reading is 'gong', and the 'gong' I'm most familiar with is 公, which has an on-reading of 'kou'. Why did some 'gong's become 'kou's and others 'kyou's? Was it some evolution between Early Middle Chinese and Modern Mandarin that caused 共 and 公 to gain the same pronunciation?


And then 洪 is 'kou'? Is the 共 radical not a sound-radical? And it's 'hong' in Chinese. HELP ME OUT HERE, EAST ASIA.
