Back to the Iinchou - Original Work (English)

Here's a little joint project that we just finished up with a fellow called Koubiikun.  I had some interest in doing this one after I saw it on Fakku, but then Koubiikun beat me to the punch and translated it.  But then I asked him if it was ok to use his translation and apply a little Strange Companions brand cleaning and editing.  So here we are!

IShoutedCleaning: Part 1 of The Editing process

Greetings program! Charioteer's post about his process of translation inspired me to make a post of my own for your amusement. I want to make something clear though, for this first part unlike typesetting I have not actually gotten decent practice with the cleaning process.  I consider myself to be at about below average level, though for cleaning doujins you don't really need to have as high skill level that you might for a popular manga title.  But I do take pride in making sure our releases are of some quality, because at the end of the day anyone can nab some raws, slap some text on with paint, and release it.  We're working with hentai here, no one's going to complain if a font looks off as long as it's readable heheh.  But since I have dabbled in regular manga scanlation, there are a few things that I make sure take place when we release a translation.

Ossu! Got a joint release with LWB here!  I was acting cleaner and typesetter on this one, and booooy howdy was it a doosy.  Crazy redraws and lotsa HA HAAAAs all around!  Check out their page more details on the release here (Looks like it's a part of their hourly releases! Here's a quick synopsis, "We join our nameless protagonist on his return to the Scarlet Devil Mansion, where he proceeds to greet the girls with the only way he knows best: With his penis. Makinami Mari - Evangelion (English)

So there's two things that you gotta know about Mari, she's got a sex drive and she's got large boobs. THAT'S IT.  Granted, she's only been in one movie so far so we don't know a lot about her character buuuuuuuut, she does play into her archetypes very well in fandom.  She like's sex and isn't afraid to go get some.  Also she's the boob character. You know the kind, the one's who the main character will bump into when he's not looking where he's going, thus making him fall to the floor while the girl is unaware of what just happened (Ohno, I'm looking at you!).

Godlike Living - The World God Only Knows (English)

WELL NOW, Katsucon was an....experience, let's just put it that way.  I had some fun, but had to work nonstop being on staff.  Anyhoo, I did manage to finish working on this little number while I had some down time.  I do like the idea of keeping Kami-sama in character by forcing his actions.  It just seems odd to me that a guy who wouldn't willingly get involved with anyone has the balls to force himself on someone ><

Just a little tid bit here:  As much as I prefer people to download our releases off our mediafire page, there are other alternates avaible.  At the begining of our translation career, we just had our releases hosted on Fakku and threads on rei-ayanami.com. But then we created this blog to have a spot where people could find our past works and little inside info on our translation process.  But, at least for now, this is just for posting updates and not for viewing the translations online.  For that, you have some options:

Wolf and the Rutting Season - Wolf and Spice (English)

Now I'm really excited about this release.  Why? Two reasons.  Number 1, this is a Wolf and Spice doujin.  Number 2, this is another from the collection of Wolf and Spice doujins by the author Ikuta Takanon.  I'm kind of a big fan of his art style (sheepishly glances at my stack of his works).  It's a great mixture of cute and sexy, which is hard to find a balance of these days.  Anyhoo enjoy this release, the first of Takanon's Wolf and Spice run.

Oh hey there, so our release schedule is going to be slightly different.  Turns out Charioteer just finished the translation for this number, so it gets priority over my side project lol.  Here's a sneak peak, expect it soon!

Status Update: ciaociao's Godlike Living (The World God Only Knows)

So you thought we were group that solely did Eva doujins?  Mwahahaha you were sadly mistaken!  Truth is we tend to do doujins from favorite series that Charioteer and I share.  Case in point, we really like TWGOK.  A lot.  So, to break out of our Eva spree I figured we go with this one.  2 main reasons: I like the art, and it's C79 doujin.  Kinda wanted to do something current, so if I seem like I'm jumping on the bandwagon....I guess I am heheh.  Almost done with the Japanese script, next comes the translation.  Expect it soonish!
